The new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 2018 will be one of the novelties of the Hall of Los Angeles 2017 to be held at the beginning of next December but, fortunately, we will not have to wait until then to discover the model. The American company, after a leak occurred last week, now shares the first images and official data of what is now the most powerful Corvette in history.
Because if the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (test) already impresses with its 650 HP of power, the new Corvette ZR1 2018 raises the bar even more with a mechanical 6.2 V8 supercharged that is capable of producing 755 HP of power and 968 Nm of torque. Motor that, by the way, can be associated with either an eight-speed automatic transmission or a seven-ratio manual transmission. They have not indicated the full benefits, but they have said that it is capable of reaching more than 337 km / h.
To adapt the vehicle to the new engine performance, Chevrolet has introduced numerous changes to the body of the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. The front, for example, has larger air intakes behind which are hidden four additional radiators, a specific hood or low designed to increase support at high speeds. Changes with which it manages to increase the aerodynamic load by 70% compared to the Corvette Z06.
But additionally, Chevrolet offers the Corvette ZR1 with the ZTK Performance Package, an option that adds a splitter on the front and an adjustable rear spoiler that, together, provide 430 kg of cargo. This kit also includes Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, changes in the chassis and magnetic shock absorbers with which it is able to offer even more grip.
We will know all the details, such as its price or availability, after its presentation in December at the Hall of Los Angeles 2017. What we do know for sure is that there will be ZR1 Convertible version.
