Launched in 2016, the current generation of the Chevrolet Camaro offers a small restylage, which focuses especially on the front and rear. It should land in France next year.

Already three years since the sixth generation of the Chevrolet Camaro has arrived in concessions. If the sportsman shunned the last show in New York, she still did not forget to talk about her, unveiling a brand new restyling mid-career.

It focuses primarily on the front, with an enlarged grille, and new optics, even more aggressive than the previous version. At the back, the LED lights have also benefited from a lot of work by designers, while the rest remains almost identical to what we already know. The difference is also now more pronounced between versions.

The interior is also modernizing, with the arrival of a specific wheel to the RS version and a new touch screen of 7 or 8 inches depending on the declination chosen. More intuitive, it embeds GPS navigation, various applications and voice recognition. Finally, the atmosphere on board has also been revised thanks to new lighting offering a wider choice of colors.

A new version 1LE Turbo
Under its hood, the new Chevrolet Camaro retains its 2.0-liter turbo of 275 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, as well as its 6.2 liter V8 of 453 equine. However, there is the arrival of a new version 1LE Turbo, which stands out in particular by revised suspensions and new brakes more efficient. A new Track mode is also appearing, including a specific display and the Launch Control function, for a more dynamic start.

In terms of safety equipment, the staffing is still quite minimal. However, this new Chevrolet Camaro is modernizing somewhat and now embeds the collision alert and a rear view camera. The rest of the equipment such as the rear cross traffic alert, the blind spot alert or the wireless charger are retained.

If Chevrolet has deserted Europe, the Camaro and the Corvette remain in the catalog of the manufacturer, which should allow us to benefit from this restyling, and this from next year. Rates have not been released yet, but for information, the current version is still available from 41.470 €.
