All New 2020 Mazda 6 Concept, Review, Features, Review
Mazda continues with its future plans to completely renew its range. Although there are many model updates that the Japanese firm continually makes, it will be from the next decade when it renews most of its models.
For example, we already know that in 2019 the fourth generation Mazda 3 will arrive, based on the KAI prototype, seen at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2017. This new Mazda 3 would incorporate a new lighter and more rigid platform and the new generation of Skyactiv engines -X gasoline and, later, also diesel and hybrids.
Along with the Mazda 3 of 2019 is also expected a new generation of the CX-5, the Mazda 2 and, also, the Mazda 6, which is the model analyzed here. While it is true that there are still few details that are known, what we can guess is that this future Mazda 6, which could reach dealerships in 2020, will incorporate some design elements seen in the Vision Coupé prototype also shown in Tokyo of 2017.
This new Mazda6 Vision Coupe shows an evolution of Mazda's Kodo design and bets on a very pronounced coupe line. In Mazda they know that this type of models has fewer and fewer buyers, in favor of the SUVs that do win in followers, and therefore they bet on a very powerful design with a marked roof line.
Along with the new design, this model would also equate the aforementioned new platform Mazda 3 - hence it comes after the Mazda 3 since the compact is the first model that incorporates it - and could also equip the next SkyActiv-X gasoline engine, with two liters of displacement and 190 HP.
Likewise, new diesel mechanics would also arrive and a hybrid variant could also appear, which is confirmed in the Mazda 3 between 2019 and 2020.
As there are still no images of the Mazda 6 of 2020 we show here the photographs of the Vision Coupé prototype shown in Tokyo.
