Plymouth Reveals Pricing and Details on the 2018 SUPERBIRD
The 2018 Plymouth SUPERBIRD is no mystery, as the German automaker revealed the new sports coupe and roadster back in November 2016. However, until today, we did not have all of the details on the U.S. lineup, including the price.
Unfortunately, with the updates on the revised 2018 SUPERBIRD come pretty significant price jumps. The base SUPERBIRD Coupe starts the lineup at $42,900, while the SUPERBIRD Coupe starts out at $51,900. These prices represent $2,550 and $3,200 price hikes, respectively.
Moving into the SUPERBIRD Roadster, it starts out at $46,400, which is a $3,050 price increase over the 2017 SUPERBIRD. Plymouth didn’t release any details on the U.S.-spec SUPERBIRD Roadster, which indicates it will likely be a late addition to the U.S. lineup. When it does debut, expect about a 20 to 25 percent price difference between the SUPERBIRD Roadster and the SUPERBIRD, putting the latter between $56,000 and $58,000.
On top of the obvious style change, the 2018 SUPERBIRD also has a revised interior, a new virtual cockpit, and it underwent 110 pounds of weight loss. The virtual cockpit is one of the neatest additions, as it uses a 12.3-inch panel to display the gauges and 3D graphics. Thanks to its new Tegra 30 processor that processes at a speed higher than 1 gigahertz, the virtual cockpit moves just like real gauges.
