New 2019 Abarth 595 review, Price, Features
Like the model on which it is based, the Fiat 500, its most sportive variant, the Abarth 595 2018, received improvements, although the base is the same as the Abarth 2009 (updated in 2012).
Regarding the model that replaces, there are changes in the front, which improves air intake and engine reconfiguration by 18%. It has LED daytime running lights as standard (there are optional xenons) and in the rear there is also a bumper renewal, with different diffuses depending on the level of finish. The range of colors is also more complete.
There are three levels of finishing, linked to the mechanics and finishes of the exterior and interior: 595 (the access version) 595 Turismo (with more exclusive finishes) and 595 Competition (the most sporty). The list of optional to improve it, mechanically or aspect, is very high. Limited in the habitability and trunk as the model from which it derives, the cabin exudes sportsmanship. You can count on Alcantara or carbon fiber), sports seats from the simplest finish level, a new steering wheel with a flat base and a dashboard that changes according to the version ..
This model stands out for its dynamic capabilities. It can be chosen with a pair of engines The 1.4 T-Jet, which equips the Abarth 595 (145 hp) and the 595 Turismo (165 hp, thanks to a turbo Garret) The most desired of the initial range is 595 Competizione, which raises the power at 180 HP. It equips exhaust, brakes and more sport seats and can have a limited slip differential that improves traction in extreme conditions.
As up to now, these three variants of the 1.4 T-jet engine are associated with the five-speed manual transmission or a robotic sequential change that can be operated with cams (which we did not like too much in our 595C Turismo test prior to the update).
