Both 2016 Mustang vintage Shelby GT350 and Shelby named GT350 R will both homologated road. However the new version GT350R is thought to use on race circuit. As in 2012 and 2013 with the Mustang Boss 302 and Boss 302 Laguna Seca.

The big news of this 2016 Shelby GT350R is its superb matt black rims 19 inches. Indeed for the first time in the world of the automobile, the 2016 Shelby Mustang is equipped with carbon fiber rims, they are lighter and 6 kilos their aluminum counterparts. For information, Porsche plans to equip its optional sportier models of this type of rims in 2017. These carbon fiber wheels are shod with wide Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires developed specifically for the 2 GT350R. These new generation Brembo brake rims are home to a ventilated discs and calipers with 6-piston front and 4-piston rear.
Now for the chassis 2016 Mustang Shelby GT350R. It is equipped with independent suspension farms set for a very sporty use. Anti approximation front bar is a composite material. This Shelby is equipped with MagneRide suspensions, they adapt almost instantaneously firmness letting an electric charge in a hydraulic fluid with metal particles in suspension. She sharing a new rear axle with limited slip differential Torsen like the classic GT350.
In the heart of the 2016 Mustang Shelby GT350, the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in the history of the Ford group. A decidedly new engine, a V8 5.2-liter all alumium flatbed crankshaft engine as the V8 Italians, which allow very high speeds. No power announced yet, but Ford Performance speaks of more than 500 horses. The new V8 engine is mated to a manual gearbox Tremec 6-speed.
In the cockpit of the 2016 Shelby GT350 we find the same dashboard as in the GT version, a loan detail, all the chrome elements have been removed to avoid possible glare sports use. There are two superb Recaro bucket seats in two-tone Alcantara designer Shelby. Note also the steering wheel in alcantara flattened base, directly inspired by the flying of motorsport.
The interior of the 2016 Mustang Shelby GT350R is oriented sportiness, and the regime is in order to save valuable kilograms. No back seats, no air conditioning, no auditorium, no backup camera system ... But the lovers of comfort is assured, the deleted items will still be available as an option!

The 2016 Shelby Mustang GT350R was presented in the beautiful blue hue Ford Performance, also used for the new Ford GT and the new Ford Raptor. The 2016 GT350R is traversed by the legendary Le Mans stripes matt black. As the GT350, redrawn before the face we immediately noted very aggressively and black grille proudly displaying the Shelby Cobra. The 2016 GT350 is equipped with a hood and front fenders aluminum to reduce weight. The GT 350R version provides a more prominent front spoiler and specific badged Shelby.
The hood of the 2016 Shelby GT350R is pierced by an air extractor from the engine. The front wings, expanded on this model, are also open by vents that allow air from the brake cooling. The set is carefully studied in order to promote the flow of the aerodynamic flow and proper cooling of vital organs, while allowing to exert force that presses the GT350R the ground.
At the rear of the 2016 Mustang Shelby GT350R, you immediately notice the imposing rear diffuser surrounded by four large round tailpipes. Between LED lights there is a black lacquer trim the center of which is affixed the Shelby logo. The R version is also characterized by the adoption of an imposing matte black rear spoiler, spoiler designed wind tunnel which presses the GT350R the ground at high speed. It is also equipped with low specific side boxes.
