2019 Abarth 124 Spider Review, Price, Features
The Abarth 124 Spider 2019 is the most performance version of the Fiat 124 Spider 2016 (a car, in turn, based on the platform of the Mazda MX-5 2015). Regarding his Italian brother presents a series of aesthetic and mechanical changes that clearly differentiate.
Although the size of his body is not altered, keeps the 4.05 in length, is clearly more striking due to the exclusive colors of his body. It can be chosen in five tones that remember with his name the passage of his ancestor of the 70s by the world of competition: Costa Brava 1972 Red, Isola d'Elba 1974 Blue, Turini 1975 White, San Marino 1972 Black and Portogallo 1974 Gray .
The interior design does not vary too much compared to the standard version, however it incorporates elements such as leather seats, various inserts in black and aluminum pedals that give it a more sporty look. Standard equipment includes 17-inch wheels, speed controller, seven-inch touch screen, rear camera and heated seats. There will be a Racing Alcantara kit for the interior, which will leave it even more sporty
The big difference is at the mechanical level, it incorporates a 1.4-liter turbo petrol engine that yields 170 hp, associated as standard with a six-speed manual gearbox, or an automatic converter with paddles on the steering wheel that sends power to the axle rear, where it has a limited slip differential.
It has good performance, since it accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.8 seconds and reaches 230 km / h. To change the behavior of the car, the driver can select between two driving modes, Normal and Sport, which modify the response of the engine, the steering, the accelerator and the traction control. The signature of the scorpion will have a version for competition, the Abarth 124 rally, with a block 1.8 turbo direct injection.
