2018 Mercedes E-Class: the hybrid model developed with Tesla Motors
The next and fourth generation of the Mercedes E-Class will debut in 2018. Among the main new features: a very inspired design of new C-Class and S-Class, the adoption of an inline 6-cylinder 3 and the development of hybrid versions or PHEVs (plug-in). These will be developed in part with the California Tesla Motors, manufacturer of the beautiful Tesla Model S electric sedan
Partnership between Daimler and Tesla since 2009
The general public may not know it, but the giant Daimler - Mercedes Benz and smart - collaborating since 2009 with the start-up became a media Tesla Motors SMEs with the launch of the Tesla Model S 100% electric. Since 2016, Mercedes will have 9 hybrid vehicles consists of 300 C-Class BlueTEC Hybrid and C 350 Plug-in Hybrid - sedan and Estate - Class E 300 BlueTEC Hybrid - sedan and Estate - and S-Class - diesel-electric hybrid version, a gasoline-electric version and a plug-in hybrid.
