Nissan introduces the renewed GT-R NISMO GT3 2019
The competition division of the Japanese giant has just presented the new Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 2019, the latest evolution of the race car built on the basis of the street GT-R NISMO and meets the requirements to participate in the GT3 category of the FIA. A model that is developed from the GT-R NISMO GT3 that the company introduced for the first time in 2012 and since then, has obtained excellent results in circuits around the world.
Nissan already admits reservations of the renewed GT-R NISMO GT3 2019, although that yes, all the units are manufactured under order and the first copies will not be delivered until the month of January of 2019. Each of them will be delivered in the factory of NISMO and it will cost around 60 million Japanese yen, that is, about 471,000 euros to change. This amount does not include possible taxes or accessories that the client may need depending on the category in which they want to participate.
The changes presented by the Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 2019 with respect to the one we already knew are focused in particular on the improvement of the weight distribution, with a center of gravity that has been reduced thanks to the relocation of the 3.8 V6 VR38DETT propeller in a position 150 mm more delayed with respect to its predecessor. They have also introduced changes to the suspensions and the chassis, which is now more rigid, with the aim of improving their behavior.
Propel the Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 2019 is responsible for the 3.8 V6 engine biturbo, a mechanic that in this configuration develops more than 550 horsepower (at 6,500 turns) and more than 637 Nm of torque (at 5,000 rpm). This block is associated with a sequential six-speed gearbox that sends all that force exclusively to the two rear tires.
Compared to the street model on which it is based, the Nissan GT-R NISMO 2017, this race car is 142 mm longer, about 141 mm wider and has a battle about 37 mm longer. There are also differences, as is logical, in the weight of both: the street remains at about 1,800 kg while the circuit for the scale in a much more contained 1,285 kg.
