2019 Mahindra Pik Up: a worker above all things
With the Mahindra models there are no middle terms. Basically, either you hate them or you love them. During this test of the renewed Mahindra Pik Up I came across several people who had no hairs on the tongue to criticise its design, while others, excited, told me that the change of look had given it a more imposing look and that was much more attractive.

Personally, I liked the spaciousness of the cabin of the Mahindra Pik Up, where four people can travel without problems of legroom or height. The issue of width is a bit strange, since, regardless of the dimensions of the driver, it seems that this is always very close to the door. As with most vans, in the Mahindra Pik Up we come across a suspension that is prone to bounce, something that changes a lot by adding some weight in the cargo area. Even a couple of bags of cement can change the dynamics to a much smoother, I imagine what it will be when you reach the 1,070 kilos that can support this model.

Maybe that is why the direction has such a heavy touch and its design considers such a wide turning radius. Is that if you want to take a U-turn and go unnoticed, this is not your vehicle.

For the rest, the acceleration of the 2.2-liter m_Hawk diesel engine of the Mahindra Pik Up is quite pleasant, progressive and fast once the turbo has been activated. While it has 140 horsepower, here the important thing is the 320 Nm of torque delivered from the 1,750 laps, managed by a pleasant six-speed manual transmission. No climb, no dirt road, no sudden acceleration made us doubt during the test.

I do not know if I would enjoy having it for use in the city, but certainly in a work environment is where all its strengths are, and there it meets an outstanding one.
