2019 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye now has a supercharged V8 engine that yields 808 hp
DODGE CHALLENGER SRT HELLCAT REDEYE
Dodge introduced the 2018 Challenger line with a "powerful new". Top-of-the-line Challenger Hellcat now received the Redeye surname and supercharged V8 engine that was used in the Demon.
The V8 6.2 Supercharged (the largest of the segment, according to Dodge, with 2.7 litres) delivers 808 hp and 97.6 mkgf. The transmission is the eight-speed automatic with a new torque converter that delivers 18% improvement in torque multiplication.
With this set, the Challenger Hellcat Redeye accelerates from 0 to 96 km / h in 3.4 seconds and reaches the maximum speed of 327 km / h. The quarter mile (400 meters) is made in 10.8 seconds at 211 km / h.
An interesting fact is the consumption of sports. According to Dodge, with the "foot in the basement", the car "sips" 5.4 litres of gas per minute. If the maximum speed is maintained all the time, you consume the entire tank in 11 minutes.
Dodge will continue to offer the SRT Hellcat "normal", whose V8 engine yields 727 hp. For the entire Hellcat series, there is a new hood with a central air intake and two extractors on the sides of the component. As standard, the Hellcat SRT features 20-inch wheels. As an option, you may have a package that enlarges the bumpers.
