Next generation 2018 Pontiac Trans Am Review
Up until now the Pontiac Trans Am has always been designed within North America, but with all of Pontiac’s lineup now being designed for global platforms, that won’t be the case for the next generation Trans Am coming in 2018.
For the past three years Pontiac has used input from its design studios around the world to generate styling ideas for its new vehicles. “It is a common process we [now] use on every vehicle. This means that the design studios from Europe, Australia and other regions will produce ideas for the look of the next generation Trans Am alongside Pontiac’s U.S. studio. “When we embark on a new product, particularly one that is all new, it involves all of the studios.
So what does this mean for the future of the Trans Am? If Pontiac really does intend to put its legendary eagle car on a global platform, we could see the very first mass-produced Pontiac with an independent rear suspension.
