Seat Arona 2018
Seat had already confirmed its plans to put three SUVs for sale in the coming years. The first, the Ateca, is already in the market. The second, the brand new Seat Arona, has been the next to fall and has set its official presentation for the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Before this official presentation, in a skilful advertising maneuver, Seat already let see his new SUV, but he did it in a somewhat special way. The vehicle toured the skies of Barcelona subject to a helicopter, leaving truly impressive images, and with curiosity to the surprised citizens to know what the hell was that flying car.
Marketing and advertising aside, the Seat Arona has already been confirmed for this year, and is expected to see the light in November-December. But, what is it that Seat Arona has for Seat to trust him?
Seat Arona 2018: technical sheet
The Seat Arona is a small SUV, built on the same base as the latest generation at Ibiza. It is a model that reaches the market with the intention of becoming a more urban alternative to the Ateca, for those who want the comfort and power of an SUV but without sacrificing the versatility of a compact. As we say, the new Seat Arona is already in production phase at the Martorell factory and will reach the market by the end of this 2017.
It has already been confirmed that the Arona will be available in 4 different finishes: Reference, Style, Xcellence and FR, with the aim of adjusting to the tastes and demands of different types of users. Likewise, all the engines that will be available have already been confirmed, both for the petrol and diesel versions.
Within the petrol options will be two engines 1.0 tricilíndricos of 95 and 115 CV, in addition to a 1.5-cylinder engine with 150 HP for the most powerful version. With regard to diesel models, will mount a 1.6 TDI engine with 95 or 115 HP, depending on the version. On the other hand, it has also been confirmed that by 2018 a new model will be added to the family. In this case Seat is going to bet on alternative fuels and it will be a model driven by natural gas.
Seat Arona 2018: prices
Data not available. We are waiting for Seat to confirm the final price for this Seat Arona, although it is expected to be a very economical SUV with a competitive price.
If we look at some of its competitors, we see that the price of the Nissan Juke ranges between 14,600 and 25,700 euros. If we go to other models, such as the Peugeot 2008 we see that the price is between 13,800 and 19,500 euros. Presumably, the Seat Arona 2018 will move in close figures.
