Opel is another of the brands that are betting on the SUV or SUV market. Very soon a new member of its "X" range will be released. Then we tell you all about the new Opel Grandland X, which will reach the dealers in October of this year.

For some time Opel has decidedly bet on the SUV market. The family "X" of SUVs of the German brand already had two members as the Crossland X or the Mokka X. However, Opel now goes a step further with the release of the Grandland X, an SUV that comes to be located above the two previous models.
Of course, it seems that Opel has not yet decided to enter the segment of large SUVs and so far has not wanted to enter the market of 7-seater SUVs. However, it is expected to do so soon, probably based on the Peugeot 5008.
Returning to the Opel Grandland X, the vehicle has already been officially announced by Opel and will be presented in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Soon after we will have it in the dealerships. Most of the data and technical specifications of the car are already known, so we went to see them.

The Opel Grandland X is a vehicle that is built on the EMP2 platform of the company, which is the same as other similar models like the Peugeot 3008.
It is known that the new Opel SUV will initially arrive with two engines. On the one hand there will be a version of gasoline that will carry a supercharged engine of 1.2 liters and that will reach 130 horsepower. For its part, the diesel version mounted a 1.6 engine capable of offering 120 hp. As we said, these will be the motorizations that the Opel Grandland X will take out, but it is expected that during 2018 new options will be added. It is even quite possible that a hybrid version also comes out.
As for the car's own design, it has everything or necessary to become an ideal SUV for both road and to drive other types of terrain. This can be seen in the wide wheel tracks or in the protections that are included in the low side of the body. As for the dimensions of the vehicle, they are 4,477 mm. long, 1,844 mm wide and 1,636 mm. High. For its part, the trunk has a capacity of 514 liters, which can be increased to 1,652 with reclined seats.

We have already mentioned that the Opel Grandland X will be put on sale, in principle, in two different versions, one diesel and the other gasoline. The diesel version will have a starting price of 26,800 euros. For its part, the starting price of the gasoline version will be 25,100 euros.
For comparison, we will quote the price of some of your rivals. For example, the Peugeot 3008 costs from 23,700 euros, while the price of the Hyundai Tucson is 23,400. It is also a little more expensive than the most basic version of the Subaru XV (25,500 euros).
