Opel Corsa is one of the most sold utilities in Europe in history. Little has to be said about a car that has marked almost a before and an after in the industry and now wants to reinvent itself with its sixth generation, which will be released at the end of 2018 or already in 2019.

At last Opel, or rather, PSA, has been decided. The new generation, the sixth, of the Opel Corsa is already a reality. It is confirmed that the emblematic Opel model will continue in the market, and that it will thus expand its more than 30 years of history.

At the moment little is known about the data and technical specifications of the new Opel Corsa. or that it can be confirmed is that it is being developed, and that there have been some doubts about how the new model could be.
These doubts are due to the acquisition of Opel by the PSA Group. Opel, which until now was part of General Motors, thus became part of the conglomerate of the French holding company. This caused some doubts to arise about the PSA plaes with some models of the brand. Undoubtedly, one of these models was the Opel Corsa.
The fifth generation of the Opel Corsa already suffered a major wear and tear and a sixth generation was being cried out. Soon PSA has confirmed that yes, that the sixth generation of the Corsa is already in development. But other doubts were still there. For example, if you were going to use the old General Motors platform or if PSA was going to use its own platform.
Also these doubts have already been resolved since the PSA itself has confirmed that the new Opel Corsa will be mounted on its own platform and that they will discard that of General Motors. Obviously, everything we have exposed has been a significant delay in the development of the car. First, because the Opel purchase negotiations left the development of the car in neutral. And second, because now PSA has to adapt the design of the vehicle to its own platform.
All this has led to a delay of at least one year in terms of the design of the vehicle, so it is not expected to reach the market, at least until the end of 2018 (most of it is already in 2019).

You do not know or want the specifications or technical data, so it's still too early to know what the price of the new Opel Corsa will be. We assume that it will be more or less around the prices of the current generation which range between 13,700 of the basic model of gasoline of 75 hp and the 17,600 of the diesel model of 95 hp.
It will have to be competitive, both in terms of performance and price, if it wants to surpass other very successful utilities such as the Ford Fiesta, which can now be obtained from just over 10,000 euros.
