This was confirmed by the company itself a few months ago through its CEO. Citroen confirms that there are plans for a new generation of the C-Zero, which would see the light in 2020. And the truth is that if Citroen wants to compete with others like Renault in this segment, it has to put the batteries. We must not forget that the first generation of the C-Zero appeared more than 7 years ago, and that the second generation will appear, if everything goes according to plan, in 2020.
The Citroen C-Zero 2020 is a necessary model if Citroen wants to compete face to face with other brands. The current model is not a bad vehicle, but has been overtaken by others such as the Nissan Leaf and Renault Zoe in virtually every aspect: performance, finishes, technology, and even the price.

The renovation of the Citroen C-Zero 2020 will start with the aesthetic section. It will be built on the EMPI platform, which is what Citroen will use to build its new compact. Keep in mind that the model was released several years ago and there are already better models in the market and at much cheaper prices. That is why Citroen has already hastened to affirm that the objectives are to improve the car in all its sections, but also offer a more competitive price.
