BMW X8 2018: PRICES, DATA SHEET AND PHOTOS
BMW prepares an offensive for the year 2020 that includes the launch of electric cars, high-end models with exclusive sports versions, and expand its range of crossovers. Within this segment they plan the launch of two models that will break with everything the brand had done so far. The BMW X7 will be the first to see the light and will become the brand's largest range of crossovers. But soon you will lose that honor, because everything indicates that the BMW X8 is already on the way.

The crossover segment is booming, that nobody doubts. And of course the brands are no strangers to it. More and more SUVs are seen on the streets, and the variety of these models is increasing. Brands such as BMW, which would hardly have been interested in this market for years, now have numerous crossover models in their offer (in particular, BMW has the X1, X3, X4, X5 and X6) and there are already concept crs of the X2, while the X7 and the X8 are on the way.
In effect, the next to see the light will be the BMW X7, which will be released in 2018 or early 2019, and will arrive to become the BMW's highest-end SUV. However, the ambition of BMW in this segment is not going to stay there and it is almost certain that by the end of 2019 or in 2020 the BMW X8 will be released, a crossover of real luxury that will be the culmination of BMW in this segment.
At the moment nothing is known in particular about how the project is, although it is confirmed that BMW's plans for this X8 are real. It would be a model with which BMW hopes to fight face to face with other luxury SUVs, such as the Audi Q8, the Porsche models or the future SUV that Lamborghini is preparing. And is that more and more manufacturers are targeting the car of the crossover.

The BMW X8 is destined to be the most exclusive and luxurious SUV of the German brand. BMW wants to give a blow of authority, surpassing even what it prepares with the X7. In addition, they have already confirmed that they want a more exclusive design, avoiding that it is simply a vitamin X6.
This will help the fact that it is the only model in the range that will not use the Audi CLAR platform, at least in its entirety. This BMW X8 will not use this platform because it will use other types of materials used mainly in cars of real luxury. In this way, the X8 will combine aluminum parts with the structure of its usual platform, thus achieving the same robustness, but with greater lightness and strength.
