The BMW 3 Series is the spoiled child of the German brand, and it is for something. This sports sedan of the D segment is a model that has been manufactured since 1975, which has already 6 generations behind it and which is the best selling in the history of BMW.

That changed with the BMW 330e iPerformance, and now it is confirmed with the next market launch of another model with hybrid technology. We are talking about the BMW 325e iPerformance 2019 series.
As we say, this BMW 325e iPerformance comes to accompany his older brother, the 330e, in the field of hybrids, being the second model to use BMW Plug-in Hybrid technology.
But the novelties of this BMW series 325e iPerformance are not going to stay there. First, the model will be based on the modular architecture CLAR. It is a platform that BMW will use in all its models from Series 3. This platform uses materials such as aluminum and carbon fiber, which allow to build larger and more robust rooms without increasing the weight of the vehicle. In fact, this hybrid version will be about 6 cm. longer than the standard, and will also have 2 cm. more distance between axes.
With this increase in size, the aim is to increase the space inside the passenger compartment, especially as regards the rear seats. But the amenities reach all the occupants of the vehicle. Opting for the series option we have an analog instrument panel along with a central touch screen. But we also have many more options for optional equipment, such as the Head-up display (augmented reality on the windshield) or the possibility of incorporating another screen that can be controlled through voice or gestures.

At the moment it is too early to make predictions about the price. In the absence of official data, what can be done is to speculate with the data we have in hand. And these data are that the BMW 330e iPerformance series has a starting price of 45,300 euros. Presumably this BMW 325e iPerformance series is somewhat cheaper.
On the other hand, we can also look at the prices of some of the rivals we mentioned earlier. The Volkswagen Passat GTE costs from 44,800 euros, while the Meredes-Benz C 350e has a price from 46,800 euros. Therefore, and hoping it is a bit cheaper than these models we could get wet that will start from 40,000-42,000 euros.
