The automotive industry is advancing by leaps and bounds towards a revolution or, at least, a great evolution. More and more brands are betting on innovative models, as is the case of Audi with its Audi A9, a car in which the German brand has high hopes but which will still take time to arrive.

In recent years the automotive industry has seen how many brands are starting to bet on electric cars instead of diesel and gasoline vehicles. At the moment, most of these bets are reduced to utilities, small models or hybrid cars, and the truth is that their sales are still very scarce.
However, something seems to be changing when most major manufacturers are already betting on this type of technology, which they seek to implement in increasingly ambitious cars, trying, yes, that the price does not skyrocket. Which of this is mainly Tesla. The North American brand has taken a real hit at the table with its Model S, Model X and Model 3.
Now, the Tesla model is being imitated by many other brands, who have seen that it is a technology with a future. One of these brands is Audi, which has already recognized plans to bring to market a luxury electric saloon that is capable of competing with the Model S.
This electric saloon of which we speak is the Audi A9, a car that Audi has already confirmed that it is in development, but will still take to see the light. Possibly it does in the year 2019, although there is nothing confirmed about it.

As we have anticipated, the Audi A9 will be the next electric sedan of the German manufacturer, a vehicle that has already been dubbed Audi A9 e-tron and that will be a real step forward in the philosophy and innovation of the brand.
To design this A9 has been based on the Audi Prologue Concept, a design that, as the name suggests, is a starting point for future Audi models, including this Audi A9. This new design is characterized by more futuristic lines and a bet for the most avant-garde technology.
On the Audi A9, it is expected to be built on the same platform as the Audi Q6. So far not much is known about their engines, although it is said that will be powered by three electric motors running simultaneously and could have a power of about 430 HP. Regarding its autonomy, the data that is currently handled indicate that it could reach 500 km.

The Audi A9 is not yet a reality and it will still have to wait long enough for it to go on sale. Therefore, we still do not have data about its exit price. In any case, and always talking about assumptions, some specialized portals talk about prices that could range between 150,000 and 180,000 euros. In any case, it is going to be a luxury saloon destined to be the most ambitious model of the brand within its segment above the A8, therefore it is expected to be a car with a fairly high price.
