The 2017 Hyundai’s i20 has been a favourite in the segment, over the years the hatchback has received a couple of modifications and each time it surpasses its previous styling. The current 2017 generation model wears a new skin, and gets a changed nomenclature. The additional prefix ‘Elite’ pushes the car gently into the premium B+ segment, not that it wasn’t a part of it before, but with the last dose of updates, the plush quotient goes a notch above. Sitting pretty in B+ segment, The 2017 Elite i20 has a universal appeal when it comes to looks. Interiors are carved meticulously offering generous room to occupants. Hyundai does not compromise on the quality of material used in cabin and this one is no exception. Styling is elegant and kind of fits in with the term ‘Elite’. Features aboard are class leading again something Hyundai cars are known for, however the centre console appears crowded with too many buttons around. The 2017 hatchback is available in two fuel options, petrol and diesel but the automatic variant is missing from the model series. Performance is not compromised, although it has been a constant complain with Hyundais, but this Korean make has tried to overcome that hurdle. Pricing is a tad high as compared to rivals, but with the kind of features it offers it pretty much justifies its worth.
