The German automaker now plans to develop the third generation models of this car. One of the highly anticipated models is 2017 VW Touran. There will also be a 1.6-liter TDI, capable of producing 109 horsepower and 184 lb-ft. The last option is a 2.0-liter TDI, capable of generating 148 horsepower and 251 lb-ft.
These engines will be connected to a dual-clutch transmission or a 6-speed manual transmission 7-speed. The car will get an AWD system. Fuel consumption is 33 mpg city and 37 mpg on highways.

The new Volkswagen MPV will face the rivalry of Ford Grand C-Max, Mazda 5, 5008, and Toyota Verso.
