New 2019 Alfa Romeo 4c, Review, Price, Features
When the Alpha 4C Concept prototype was presented, created with technologies and materials derived from the 8C Competizione, few thought that it would come this way for sale. But that's how it was. Presented in March 2015 at the Geneva Motor Show it was seen as more than just a car. Actually, it was all a declaration of intent of Alfa Romeo, the road that would take from then, approaching much more to Maserati than a Fiat. Then it was used to start marketing with a special series, the Launch Edition.
In its measurements (it is the widest and lowest of all the cars analysed here), and its beautiful lines, inspired by old models such as the Alfa 33 Stradale, already make clear their intentions. But its defining feature is indicated by the scale. It barely weighs 895 kg, thanks to the use of carbon fibre to manufacture its chassis.
It has a single engine available, a turbocharged engine of 1,750 cubic centimetres) that yields 240 hp and 350 Nm. It is the one that already assembles the Giulietta QV, but made of aluminium and associated with a double clutch automatic transmission. Its weight / power ratio is less than 3.8 kg / CV. A lot, in the orbit of the Porsche 911 Carrera S. So it is not surprising that accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.5 seconds and reach 258 km / h, own figures of much more powerful supercars. It marked in Nürburbring the record for vehicles of less than 250 CV.
The propeller is mounted in a central-rear position and joined to the dual-clutch TCT six-speed change, which is responsible for sending all the force to the rear axle. It features the Afa DNA driving mode selector that, in addition to the three known driving modes (Dynamic, Natural and All Weather), includes a new sportier one, called Race.
Do you hit? It is very unusable on a daily basis, due to its radical orientation: very noisy interior, uncomfortable suspension, the passenger seat is not adjustable, poor visibility, demanding ... but its dynamic behaviour is spectacular, as in the authentic sports, this once in compact format. As many units will not be manufactured, their depreciation will not be very high, even though their price is high.
