2018 Chevy Chevelle, Once Classic Popular Car, Comes Alive Once Again For 2018
The classic Chevelle was an extremely popular car throughout the early 60s to mid 70s due to its compact design. Nearly four decades on and Chevy have revived the Chevelle name with a new design – although no similarities are apparent, the new Chevelle has been produced as a sports car.
As its stands, the 2018 Chevy Chevelle comes with three engine options: 2.0L Tigershark, 2.4L Tigershark and the 1.4L MultiAir Turbo. The most powerful engine is the 2.4L, producing a modest 184hp and 171 lb-ft, however the CHEVELLE team are developing a Chevelle capable of pushing 300 hp for 2016.
I think the CHEVELLE crew are right in developing a more competitive package, as in the coming few years the Chevelle will fall short in performance from the likes of Ford, Chevy. Chevy have their 2018 Nova and their mighty Chevy Charger powerhouses, so the compact Chevelle should fair well with the extra grunt.
It is estimated the 300hp turbo Chevelle will cost a little more than its competitors, but with its power and handling upgrades, it will be one hard car to beat. A lot of thought has gone into its aggressive design, a car I think out does Ford and matches Pontiac in the looks department -with all those functional scoops, vents and the rear spoiler, it certainly looks like it means business.
The 2018 Chevy Chevelle will benefit from a stiffer setup, with performance springs and dampers, and the larger wheels and upgraded tyres means enhanced grip. It has yet to be confirmed whether the 2018 Chevy Chevelle will be AWD, but I'm guessing it will to compete with Ford and Pontiac.
