2016 Lexus LF-SA
The last model was presented at the Geneva Auto 2016 Lexus LF-SA. Last year, the luxury line from Toyota celebrated its 25th birthday and they revealed many inspiring concepts to mark the occasion. This year started a little differently.
Presented in Geneva 2016 Lexus LF-SA concept does not really seem like we luxury vehicle at all. Very small 3 door Hatch longer fits in the intelligent story and if Lexus really intends to make these types of cars in the future, this segment has suddenly looks very promising indeed.
2016 Lexus LF-SA UNDER THE HOOD
Of course, as happens with these types of all new concepts, Lexus has failed to inform us about the details of the powertrain LF-SA. Now, judging by its size, we predict a small 4-cylinder engine with reasonable power and great fuel efficiency. Yet even this should not be the right proposal. There are little options that could still enter the fray, and never exclude hybrid engine as well. Of course, there is plenty of time before all this happens and we just have to wait and see.
2016 Lexus LF-STYLE SA - inside and look outside
From the perspective of the 2016 Lexus LF-SA design looks awkward and not really Lexusy. However, we have already mentioned above this. Presented in a few shades of metallic green, the car looks like a military vehicle, particularly because of its futuristic design overlap. There are not a lot of length and everything was kept neat.
Spindle grille front is surprisingly large for the size of this concept and what about those strong flared fenders. Midsection is short but there is no shortage of presenting some angular folds. 8 spoke wheels Starfish-like look both leading and rear end gets a bump with a lot of overlap everywhere.
2016 Lexus LF-SA Exterior dimensions
Length 135.8 inches
Width 66.9 inches
Height 56.3 inches
Needless to say, we did not get to see too much of the interior as there is not much of it there. It is very futuristic and appointed with contemporary materials. Beige and black were chosen as the colors, and most of the touch controls shine with bluish tint. Dashboard is as simple as they come because the car does not have a lot of controls. The cabin is divided into two by means of very large central tunnel.
This division of functionality is very unusual in such a small car, but the concepts generally give designers the opportunity to experiment. Anyway, it houses touch controls that we have already mentioned above, but other than that, there were no words about the feature list.
2016 Lexus LF-SA PRICE AND RELEASE DATE
There is still plenty of time for 2016 Lexus LF-SA to reach the production stage and it is clear that the car will be much different than it does now. We expect to be offered with a powertrain rather fuel efficient, whether conventional or hybrid origin. The actual figures, however, are still a long way on the road. The same goes for the price tag, but judging by its size, LF-SA could be the most affordable Lexus again.
2016 Lexus LF-SA really looks like something that would be appreciated; visually speaking not good. Japanese luxury division could really use this practical car, fuel efficient, but its design will go through a thorough review before becoming ready for production. Overall, there is still plenty of time for Lexus to develop their new concept and we have to sit and relax.
The main rivals are the Audi A1 and BMW 1 Series.
