Offers and prices new 2018 Ford Mondeo, Review, Features
It was in October of 2017 when the global saloon of the oval brand arrived at the Spanish market, presented at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show as Ford Fusion. Manufactured in Valencia, its hallmark is all the technology it can equip. It also promises better rolling quality and dynamism, with a stiffer chassis and a new rear suspension scheme, among other innovations. The body, available in four-door version (sedan, only hybrid) and five doors (saloon, with tailgate and rear wipers) are almost identical and have grown 8.7 cm with respect to Mondeo 2017.
In the interior, it has been bet for the best quality of materials and good adjustments. The front seats are now much thinner, so that rear passengers have more legroom, without sacrificing the comfort of the driver and co-driver. Earn 10 liters of malatero compared to the previous generation, up to 550 capacity.
The brand highlights the large number of safety equipment and driving aids that can be equipped, such as an improved version of the Active Park Assist, the parking attendant that is now also able to park on battery, rear seat belt airbags, headlights with LED technology, pedestrian detection ... the new Ford SYNC 2 connectivity system, with an 8-inch touch screen, enhanced voice commands ...
At the beginning, the two most complete finishing levels, the Trend and Titanium, arrived on the market. The basic Environment and the Business Edition series aimed at companies, along with the premium Vignale line, arrive throughout 2017.
The initial range of engines includes two alternatives of gasoline, the 1.5 Ecoboost of 160 HP and a 2.0 Ecoboost of 240 HP. The diesel range is made up of another couple of thrusters, a 1.6 TDCI of 115 hp (which will have an economical version of low consumption) and 2.0 TDCI of 150 and 180 hp of power. It will also have a hybrid variant, the Mondeo Hybrid (only with body sedan), which combines a four-cylinder gasoline and two liters of displacement associated with another electric unit that yields 177 hp. Throughout 2018 will be the complete family, with the Ford Mondeo 1.0 EcoBoost and versions of 4 × 4 all-wheel drive.
