Porsche has just announced the most fastest and most powerful road car in its 86 years of history.

The Porsche GT2 was built from 1993-2012 as a more powerful variant of the Porsche 911 Turbo which was also lighter due to its avoidance of AWD in favor of more traditional RWD. The latest 2018 GT2 blows past the old cars with a total power of 700 hp from the familiar Porsche-6 in 3.8-liter form. Like its predecessors, the 2018 GT2 shares a number of components with the Turbo S, but amplified for greater performance. Large turbochargers increase and a new cooling system added prevents overheating of the powertrain and sprays the charge air cooler with water during extreme temperatures. The added flow comes through a 15-pound titanium exhaust system lighter than that used in the Porsche Turbo. Power is supplied from the engine through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The body changes for this most aggressive Porsche 911 product include a carbon fiber hood, a magnesium roof and front fenders, wheel vents, exterior hulls on the side mirrors, rear side air intakes and Carbon fiber reinforced plastic rear parts. The car weighs a relatively light weight of 3248 lbs, which lends itself to an exceptionally fast time of 0 to 62 km / h of 2.8 seconds and at a maximum speed of 212 mph.
