New 2017 Alpine Vision Concept release date, Review, Photos, design, specifications
Until it was introduce the final model by years end, Alpine confirms its ambitions with the new 2017 Alpine Vision concept. The new berlinetta approach and it looks authentic!
Alpine is well and truly back and is about to launch a new 2017 car, which looks true to the legacy of the old models, including the famous A110 berlinetta. Some will be disappointed with the little change displayed by this new 2017 concept Vision in relation to the Alpine Celebration presented last year at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Yet this constancy in the design of the 2017 Alpine Vision concept car is more like a confirmation about the authenticity of this new model which is preparing to Dieppe. Alpine Vision is indeed almost identical in shape to the Alpine Celebration, its plain white paint now to fully appreciate the purity of its design.
This 2017 Alpine Vision concept car is indeed seen as the perfect illustration of the style commonly called "neo retro". Clearly referring to his glorious ancestor, it shows nonetheless a true personality and modern looks. In addition, its perfect proportions appear to remain very close to those of the former in terms of size and it seems likely that the new car remains below 4 m length and a tonne for the weight (the A110 measured 3 85 m and weighed on average about 650 kg). The only noticeable cosmetic changes of this Vision from the celebration are the disappearance of the two tailpipes in favor of a wider central output (how Lamborghini Aventador) and removal of the rear wing.
Alpine clearly announces that the production model will be revealed "before the end of the year" (read at the Paris) and marketed in 2017 (first in Europe), will remain very close to the show car unveiled "in terms of lines, weight, behavior, agility and attention to the smallest details. "Note that the 2017 Alpine Vision is equipped with a four cylinder turbo engine (the new 1.8 of the future Megane RS?) And" light weight allows it to reach 100 km / h in less than 4.5 s " . To determine the level of performance of the new Alpine, this time corresponds to a recent Porsche 911 Carrera S with manual gearbox (six flat-turbo 400 hp). Alpine will be a small car. Or very mild ...
As seen in the photos, the famous four-cylinder will be associated with EDC dual clutch transmission, which can be controlled by steering wheel paddles. The question is whether a manual transmission variant will also be available later ... Finally, like all fans of the brand and sports car enthusiasts hoped, the Vision concept (and thus the series of Alpine) is a propulsion rear mid-engine, an architecture that was no longer employed by a French car from the Alpine A610 or Venturi 300 Atlantique (Bugatti Veyron excepted of course). Let it be said, this new Alpine marks the return of the tricolor sports car at the highest level!
Pending the final revelation of the model at the Paris, discover this 2017 Alpine Vision concept at the Geneva car show.
