Alpine A110 - the expected resurgence of Alpine materializes this 2018 with the arrival on the market of the spectacular and light A110.
A year after its presentation as a conceptual vehicle, called 'Alpine Vision', during the Geneva Motor Show 2017, Alpine shows the final production version with the new Alpine A110. Combining the timeless principles of the manufacturer in terms of lightness, agility and performance, this sports coupe with two seats and central engine is true to the spirit of its predecessors and, in particular, to the A110 'Berlinette'. This new model will be assembled in the factory that owns the manufacturer in Dieppe (France). In this way, Alpine returns, after so much time, with the intention of claiming its position in the segment of sports vehicles, with only one promise: pleasure of driving. The new Alpine A110 is a compact and lightweight sports car. The platform and structure where all its components are based are made of aluminum.
All of them provide an exceptionally rigid and light structure. In this way, the Alpine A110 faces rivals such as the Lotus Elise. Alpine front view a110The Alpine A110 is really light, with a curb weight of 1,080 kilograms (not including options). Its size is also compact: it has dimensions of 4.17 meters in length, 1.79 in width and 1.25 meters in height. The weight distribution of the set is quite optimal (44% front / 56% rear) and the low center of gravity is focused on obtaining complete agility, especially on winding mountain roads. In this way it is intended to pay tribute to the great reputation of the manufacturer in the sixties and seventies.
The Alpine A110 is immediately recognizable as a model of the Dieppe factory. It combines a modern design language, materials and technology with the size, shape and profile that marked the original Alpine A110 'Berlinette'. In the front, four independent lights in LED technique and the central division of the hood clearly show that DNA. The side profile shows a superb design: the strokes on the body seem to wrap around the platform.alpine side view a110At the back, the set of LED rear optics in the form of 'X' and dynamic flashing, give the car a Very modern look, while the fall and back inclination and roof envelope, reminiscent of Alpine's historic models. Inside the A110 there is a minimalist interior. Its design merges with a comfortable and cozy driving position. Premium materials, such as natural grain leather, structural aluminum or carbon fiber, ensure a rewarding experience for the driver and the passenger. The access and exit has been designed to be the easiest, even for the daily use.
The Alpine A110 has been designed and developed in France, thanks to the team of professionals of the 'Technocentre' of the Renault Group, located in Guyancourt, and the engineering center of 'Renault Sport' in Les Ulis. All the Alpine A110 are assembled in the Alpine factory in Dieppe, its historical and spiritual home. The Dieppe factory was built in 1969 by Jean Rédélé, and it is in this same place where all the models and generations of the company were built since then. Since the production ended in the 1990s, the Dieppe factory has been building vehicles for the 'Renault Sport' sports division and other models of the Renault Group: Clio V6, the Renault Espace and, currently, the Clio RS. In addition, the Dieppe factory assembles many Renault racing cars such as the 'Formula Renault 2.0'. Alpine front view a110 Dieppe's specialized personnel have all the necessary experience to be able to provide a sports car like the new A110. Likewise, the factory has been the target of a multi-million dollar investment, which includes a new assembly line dedicated exclusively to the platform and aluminum body of the Alpine A110.
